How To Fenghsui My Fibromyalgia

Asalumlakum(May Peace Be On You) and Hi To All My Fengshuiers!!!!!! It has been a lil minute since I have even checked in with all of you guys and although I hated to do it, it was very necessary for change and growth in my personal and professional life, I would say romantically as well, but I am just not there yet there:). I had to step back from My Baby, My Blog The Fenghshui Brand to Rebrand, Recharge, Regroup, Relax, Rest, and Repair. I left my job of 3 years as a Behavioral Health Technician in May 2024, Started College to Finish My A.A., and Moved into a new Apartment in a different area. Here in Florida at that time, there were 2 Hurricanes that affected my area in 2024 and I felt it best to step away from The Fengshui Brand to fully focus on all the changes going on at that time.

I had planned to discuss that I had Fibromyalgia since I was a child, but only diagnosed in my early 30’s after years of complaining about certain aches, pain, and sensitivities before I left online, but after the storms things got hectic and busy in my real life that I forgot. Since at the Fengshui Brand I speak on my life experiences from child to adulthood, I feel its only fair to tell My Fengshuiers what it is like dealing with a Chronic Illness that affects how I deal with environments and people and what it is and what it feels like having Fibromyalgia Symptoms that range from my head to my toes.When I was 3, I went through a horrible trauma that no child should experience and go through, and I believe that is what caused me to have Fibromyalgia that started showing up at age 12 after I had started my Menstual Cycle in the form of sensitivity to touch. At that time I began to have Flashbacks of My 3-Year Old Trauma and new Trauma had began at age 9-16/17. If anybody gently touched me, it felt like I was punched. I always had heavy periods and that is another symptom of Fibromyalgia that eventually led to me having Fibroids, that were only discovered in 2020 after a 6 month search of why my Menstrual now was 30+Days long and Emergency Surgery in January 2021.

Fibromyalgia is different for everyone and before I was diagnosed, I started having Anemia, Headaches and High Blood Pressure and Teeth Grinding/T.M.J. that caused excruciating Earaches and only relieved when I have certain Prescription Filled Eardrops. I get extremely exhausted and tired sometimes and have only had a normal sleep pattern that others may take for granted that started at 31 after leaving certain stressful environments and stressful for no good reason behind. Inflammation and Weight Gain is another one, especially when I decide to start medications in my 30’s after they were suggested by My Counseling Team. Depression is another factor that can come to play as well and so many other symptoms that I have experienced including eyesight and vision changes.At 30/31 in 2013/2014 I decided that I was going to get to the cause of my symptoms that always seemed to be worse in the Summers since 2008 when I would be stuck in bed with only enough energy to bathe and shower and drink and eat and lay back down in bed until My Body and My Mind decided enough was enough an then magically, I would come out of whatever it was and resume my normal activities like nothing happened. I was already on Disability so I did n not have to go to a job so this made this highly possible. In Summer 0f 2013 after being bedbound and having lack of sleep, I decided I was going to fight my way out of whatever was keeping me physically exhorted.

I started changing My Diet eating more Fiber like Oatmeal, Adding Eggs for Protein with Spinache, and Cooking with Fresher Ingredients, and eating Baked Fish which was not something I enjoyed as a child. I was always a Water drinker so that was not a problem, and I maintained a good balance of hydration until I decided to try Cymbalta/Duloxetine in 2018. I added more fruit and vegetables to my diet like Bell Peppers, Onions, and Tomatoes which I despised as a child and found easy to make recipes on DivasCanCook.Com(Shoutout to Mrs.Monique). I also decided that I needed to get more active, although when feeling good I would do at least 10 laps on the Recreational Park Track Field at night before bed listening to music. A Free Outside Gym had just opened up close by my house at the time at another Recreational Park and I decided that every morning I would go there for 5 days out the week to do some Cardio for 30 minutes excluding the 10 -15 minutes it took me to walk there. I did not drive to get in even more exercise. Also at the time an Intake Counselor at where I go for Counseling had started suggesting that I cut off physical contact with and start telling mainly my immediate family no. He was right because I had become their punching bag as a child with their actions and jokes and ignoring and picking at my feelings and looks as well as A.T.M./Bank and someone they dumped and projected on that carried over into adulthood because family is family regardless and they often abused my boundary respecting and caring nature and positive demeanor and disposition. I also started trying Yoga on Sunday mornings at The Salvador Dahli Museum.

This Lifestyle Change started to make a heck of alot of difference, but my environment was being made unstable by a family member who’s relationship to me I should leave out, not to protect the abuser and female predator, but just because I feel like her/their abuse and negtivity was giving enough attention in the 6 years I was consistently around them, under the same roof or not. I finally got up and moved to a small city 200 miles away in April 2014 after My Dad’s Celebration Of Life for a change and although another family member who’s relationship to me will also be ommitted wanted to trauma bond by way of alienation and withholding affection and sabatoge,I decided that i would not let this female who promised to be an emotional support when I came to the city behavior overshadow my fresh start. I will say that Nature took its course and sometimes Karma has a certain way of settling the score and keeping a tally of any misdoings to a naturally caring, genuine and innocent and pure hearted independent and emotionally and mentally stable individual like me.

As I type and write this T.F.B. Blog Post, I am having a Medium Flare-Up t is being caused by things I have no and some control over pertaining to my living space and the people I don’t and won’t allow in that space. I already had a Mid Mornig Counseling Appoitment with My Peer Support Specialist and He and I discussed everything going on in my life currently, bad and good, negative and positive and healthy communication is alas a must ANYTIME, but especially during a Fibromyalgia Flare-Up. I am going to hydrate with Cold Water because that helps by staying hydrated, take a nice bath/shower and wash and condition my hair because I like My Dad like being clean from head to toe EVERYDAY unless necessary due to discontinuing of My Fave Hair Products and or Protective Hairstyling for My Natural Coily Curly Wavy Hair that I owe to My Dad Darius/Morris Sr., find some Fibromyalgia Friendly clothing out of My closet/wardrobe which is always a must when dealing with a Fibromyalgia Flare-Up, and then will head to dinner at 1 of My Favorite Bars or Eateries close by my apartment for a Clean Atmosphere, Drinks and Food, Good Vibes, Familiar Faces, and Privacy.

How To Fengshui Your Child’s Or College Student 1st Day Of College Or School Now That Summer Is Over.

Happy August Fengshuiers,! I hope all of you had a fun and relaxing summer filled with lots of adventure and play.


August usually signifies that summer break is over for the children and  school will be back in soon whether attending elementary, middle,highschool, or college.

Below I will share a few tips to get you and your child's school year of right.


Discuss with your child different scenarios and what to do if certain issues arise at school such as bullying or a crisis and emergency.

If there is a Teacher/Student,meet day before school actually begins, plan to attend with your child so they are already somewhat familiar about where their class is, who their teacher is, and they are familiar with their new surroundings. You and your child also might get to meet other children who have the same teacher as your child an and their parents.

If your child is young and or this is their first year attending school make sure they know who will be dropping them off to school in the morning and picking them up after school at the end of the day during pick up time.* Do Discuss Stranger Danger and what to do if this Allah God forbid arises.*

If you have younger children get them in the habit about 1 week before school starts of going to bed at the normal bedtime when school is in session because this will start preparing you and your child early for when school actually does start and they will have already adjusted to their normal school bedtime schedule so it will be an easy transition back into the new school year.

If your child is young and has not started getting dressed by themselves put out 2 outfits and 2 pairs of shoes each day that they can choose from so they are involved in how they feel, look, and present themselves ,also if you and your child prefer to bring and to pack their lunch for school include your child in deciding what they are going to be bringing for the day and be sure to include a assortment and variety of choices to choose from that are healthy and nutritious instead of processed, salty, and or sugary and that will give your child healthy energy and fuel throughout the day.

Have a designated place in your home where your children can put important correspondence from school or their teacher that you check everyday.

After school have a destress and wind down routine for your child like getting a snack and playing a game on their phone or tablet, reading a book, or watching a television show for 15-30 minutes before beginning any assigned homework and assigned projects and or completing chores they do and help out with at home.* Ask your child while discussing his or her day what was the best and worst part of their day and why?

If your children are older and are attending college for the 1st time or returning to college or going to or in middle or high school assure your child that you are always available to discuss anything free of judgement and that no matter what you are in their corner. Also discuss with your older children different scenarios and what to do if an emergency arises and to be aware of their surroundings and who's around them at all times. 

Also encourage and teach your younger children the importance of acceptance and uniqueness and individuality in themselves and other by discussion and example. Teach your children while they are young that it is alright, fine, and well to different and that no 2 children or human being us exactly alike.

Lastly encourage your babies and children whether 8 or 18 or anything before or in between to express themselves in boundary respecting of others and themselves and their Professors and Teachers and report to a higher authority or their parents if they are feeling down, un-sure, emotionally and mentally or physically un-stable , and or suicidal and that there are many helpful material, programs, sources, and trained professionals to deal with curve balls, icks, and uhhs, and what the hell life can throw at you. Too many times our babies and children's are weighted down with being busy, burdens, and cares and trying to make everyone around them including their parents proud that we might notice a change in these amazing energy and lights carrying human beings that we have been blessed to care for and parent, direct, guide, mentor, and watch grow into productive adults and human beings.

Have a amazing and good year to all of The Fengshui Brand Parents and Fengshui Brand Students from Daycare, VPK to Highschool. Enjoy your 1st year in Elementary, Middle School, and 1st year in Highschool and  College Freshman and Your last year in Highschool Seniors. Don't forget to apply yourself and ask for as much help as you need along the way. How To Fengshui Your 4th Of July

The 4th Of July is a time for barbecues, fireworks, and going to the beach when the weather is good and the children are still out of school on their summer break, but it is also a time when we acknowledge in 1776 when The Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress freeing America from Great Britain. I personally have always been a free spirited and live in the moment human being with an independent nature about myself that was encouraged on both my maternal and paternal side since I was a child and that has been present and carried on with me today as an adult. I have no problem rocking it alone all by myself as long as it is with my natural born authenticity and genuineness + energy in every part of my life. Freedom and Independence will always go hand and hand and there is no better feeling than that from my personal experience and will always strive to be the best version of me in both elements in every area of my life whether emotionally and mentally, financially, personally, professionally, and romantically all the while being boundary respecting of myself first and foremost and others I allow on this journey called Amanda’s Life and World with me. At any given moment you can find children being care free and free in their own mind and skin a leisure a lot of adults no longer cherish or partake in including on the 4th Of July so in this current and present moment and time I would like to dedicate this day to all of the adults and the children who I would like to take time out of their day to enjoy, but for the adults celebrating today to remember the freedom and independence of their youth and enjoy this cooling and refreshing and healthy and quick Frozen Flip recipe that I tried recently. Dixie Cups, Flips, Frozen Flips, Honey Drippers, or Lilly Dilly’s as they were known in my city where I grew up were one of those delicious and sticky treats that either you brought from the neighborhood Candy and Snack Lady or Candy and Snack Man or if your Grandparents or Parents had the time made at home for you to enjoy after school or on the weekends. This version is a healthier version of the one I grew up on, but sweet and tasty none the less. 6 Small Cups

3-4 Cups Bite Sized Fruit Pieces of Your Choice and Liking

4-6 Cups of Fruit Juice of Your Choice and Liking

  • Distribute Fruit evenly among cups. Fill each cup 1/2 inch from the top. Cover with foil or plastic wrap and freeze until solid.

  • Once solid remove from the freezer. Enjoy with a spoon. Once slightly melted, squeeze the cup, remove the frozen treat, FLIP it upside down and put it back in the cup.

    Alternatively, place a popsicle stick or plastic spoon through the foil or plastic wrap before freezing. Adjust and cater the recipe to your liking if making a bigger batch of this cooling and frozen nostalgic adult and child approved treat.

How To Fengshui Your Father’s Day.

On Sunday June 16th it will be time to take some time to celebrate and honor as well as reflect on all the special men in our lives that we call Dad. Dads are a real special kind of human beings who we often times look at as Super Heroes who we wish to be like growing up. My own Dad was a muscular and somewhat tall in stature man who I wanted to be just like when I was a child and often times would imitate him so well. I remember once when my Dad was fixing on his car doing some routine work when I was about the age of 3 or 4 and he took his shirt off because he was hot and I did the same tucking it in my back pocket as my Dad did first. Even though I was born a girl when I was with my Dad I pretended to be a little boy who just as attractive and handsome, masculine, muscular, and strong as my Dad who had the same identical dark brown eyes as me. Some of my fondest memories of my Dad are from my childhood and I continue to cherish those. My Dad had and has a lot of good qualities that I inherited, and he passed down to me like being clean and a hard worker, but also being independent in every area of my life and thinking. My Dad was a good cook and often would make some of his Jamaican inspired cuisine dishes that he learned growing up as a boy and young man in Jamaica. As I get older, I often find myself reflecting on the bond I shared with my Dad and the knowledge that I also got from him and know I could not have asked for a better authentic, caring, clean and clean cut, emotionally and mentally as well as financially and physically stable, genuine, present, resilient, strong, and wise Dad. My Dad also gave me a lot of confidence to be who I authentically am no matter who or whom is trying to bring me down and dim that energy and light or project anything less than positivity so for this I have a thick skin and only care to focus on only what betters and grows me. I also get my always about my business, professional, and serious nature from my Dad who always gave 100% in whatever he was doing. I also got my compassion and empathetic and funny and playful personality and sense of humor from him as well. I love you, Happy Birthday and Happy Father’s Day Dad, I also want to give a Father’s Day shout out to all the men who also set a good example and was always there to help or lend an ear if my Dad was not around at the moment and aided and helped my emotional and social as well as physical development, A special Happy Father’s Day to Hakeem who’s greatest joy and pleasure was becoming and being a young Dad and Father who wanted to grow and mature with his children, and to all of The Fengshui Brand present and standout and stand-up Dad’s out there; Enjoy and Happy Father’s Day to you as well.

On Any Day, but Father’s Day is a good day to listen to music and songs about Fatherhood; and one of My Dad and I’s favorite is Just The 2 Of Us by Will Smith where he did his big one after experiencing Fatherhood with his 1st born Trey Smith. If you have never heard or listened to this song Fengshuiers; I hope you enjoy it as much as My Dad and I have through the years.

Coming right off of the heels of Father’s Day it will be time for Juneteenth. Juneteenth is a celebration when about 250,000 slaves were freed in Galveston Bay, Texas on June 19th, 1865. On Juneteenth also known as Emancipation Day and Juneteenth Independence Day we celebrate, honor, and recognize our Ancestors and all of their achievements, contributions, and sacrifices to the nation. On this day celebrate, honor, and remember and walk with intent and purpose. Thank You to all who made the world a better place for me and the future generations of color through dedication, hard work, persistence, resiliency, strength, and tireless effort and sacrifice.

How To Fengshui Your Emergency And Hurricane Preparedness Kit and Plan.

I remember when i was in elementary school at only 9 years old and in the 4th Grade that I experienced my first encounter of what it is like growing up in Florida during Hurricane Season. At the time Hurricane Andrew was ravaging through Florida and school was out due to the weather. I remember some family members coming from Miami to ride out the storm with us and meeting one of my baby cousins who I still adore to this day for the first time. During a Hurricane Watch or Hurricane Warning I remember my Grandma making things as easy and simple for us grandchildren by cooking good food before the power went out and letting us eat certain snacks during that time that we usually could not access on the regular like chips and apple pie and cherry cakes that the convenience store across the street from our house sold. My Grandma would always have a cautionary tale or a funny and good story to tell about her childhood or our Grandpa. Hurrican Season as a child was a time for all of us to bond as a family, but also invite any associates and neighbors and friends of my Grandma’s who did not want to be home alone during that time to our house.

Hurricane Season runs from June 1st- November 30th and according to the Emergency Mangement Directof for Hollywwod on Florida’s Atlantic Coast Jaime Hernandez most hurricanes occur in September and October. Below I am going to share a few terms to make yourself comfortable with and a few tips to be and get prepared in the midst of a hurricane watch or hurricane warning.

Emergency and Hurricane Preparedness Tips.

1, Assemble a disaster supply kit for you and your family in advance such as flashlights, generators, and storm shutters. a First Aid kit is also good to have on hand.

Disaster Supply Kit Items.

  1. Enough non - perishable food and water to last each member of your family 3 days. If you have a baby be sure to have enough diapers and supplies, food and milk to accommodate your little one during this time so that he or she may be comfortable during a already stressful time. Include Cooler, Ice, and a Manual Can Opener. Also have enough food and water for your animals.

2. Hygiene and Sanitary Personal Items.

3. All prescription medicine.

4. Battery Operated Radio and Flashlights with extra batteries.

5. Lighter or Matches.

6. A Waterproof Container for Cash and Important Documents and Paperwork.

7. Books and Magazines and Board and Card Games for recreation.

2. Create a emergency plan and include a way to meet up, evacuation checklist and evacuation destinations. Kee important phone numbers on you and also discuss with your family how you all will communicate if there is not any cell phone service or power. ALWAYS know your evacuation locations and routes.

3. Create a safe place for your animals and pets with a designated eating and sleeping area.

4. Secure your home by covering all windows and reinforcing your garage doors. Clear rain gutters and trim all shrubs and trees. Bring in any decorations, garbage and trash bins and cans, outdoor furniture, and anything else that is not toed down inside.

5. Make sure your car tank is full of gas, have extra cash on hand in case the ATMs are down and not working, fill the bathtub and large containers with water for flushing and washing only. Turn your fridge temperature down and or freeze any drinking water or food that can be frozen if you expect a power outage.

6. During the storm you should stay inside away from windows and be prepared to turn off ALL main energy sources and use hurricane equipment carefully and resourcefully. After the storm avoid drinking tap water until you have confirmed it is safe.

7. Avoid flood water by not driving, swimming, or walking through it because floodwaters can contain debris and downed power lines. Even if the water does not look deep, it can pose a potential accident or hazard if it is moving at a rapid pace by sweeping you off of your feet.

How To Fengshui Your Mother’s Day

Each year in the month of May we take a Sunday out to celebrate all the amazing Mothers in our lives. Mother’s Day is the day that as Mothers and Woman we can celebrate ourselves without feeling all of the infamous “Mom Guilt” that some of us may feel when putting our needs first. In honor of all of the amazing woman that have helped, molded, and shaped my life as an adult and child including my Aunts, My Grandmothers who always were class acts and wise, My Grandmother’s closest, respectful and respected, and trusted confidants and friends who had so many home made goodies and stories to share, My Mom Patricia who could chef and cook anyone out of the kitchen with her favorite cuisine and meals she came up with on her own or that was passed down from her Mother, all the woman in the Church and Communities I grew up in who mothered and watched out for me if and when my own Grandmothers and Mother was not around and to all of the female/woman Teachers I have had from Daycare all the way to my College education and all the woman who are in my close and small group of associates and friends who make being a Mom look so amazing and easy I want to say Thank You.

Even if you are not a biological Mom or a biological Mom yet, but an Aunt, Bonus or Stepmom like me, Cat or Dog Mom, or Teacher Mom who is involved in bettering and enriching a child or fur baby’s life; you are also honored and thanked here. An easy and good way to celebrate Mother’s Day is brunch whether you are going out to celebrate or want to prepare you and or the Moms you know something easy, light, and quick at home and what better way to start it off by adding a Breakfast Banana Split and Momma’s Mimosa to your Brunch menu. Below are the instructions and list of what you will need to whip up this drink and healthy and light sweet treat that is just as good as it looks. Happy Mother’s Day from The Fengshui Brand.

Breakfast Banana Split

1 Banana

1 Crunchy Granola Bar

1/2 Cup Low-Fat Vanilla or Preferred Yogurt

1/2 Teaspoon Honey

1/2 Cup Chopped Fruit like Apples, Blueberries, Nectarines, Peaches, Pineapples, and Strawberries

Peel and split the Banana lengthwise.

Place 1/2 in 2 separate cereal bowls.

Crumble the Granola Bar into small pieces.

Over each Banana, spoon Yogurt, sprinkle Granola, and drizzle Honey.

Top with fresh fruit and serve immediately.

Depending on how many guest you are serving you can adjust the recipe to fit your needs. Also, you can buy a bag of Granola or make your own and when it comes to your fruit topping; go with whatever floats your taste pallet boat Fengshuiers.

Momma’s Mimosa

Chilled Pitcher

Chilled Cava, Champagne, Or Prosecco

3 Cups of Chilled Pulp Free Orange Juice

Pour The Champagne in the chilled pitcher and then pour in the Orange Juice. Adjust to your liking and taste, Serves 8.

Alot of times as females and woman, but human beings first we feel like we are always being pulled, pushed, and stretched thin with all of life’s demands. Alot of us are in the professional work force and as a bonus of life’s basic and simple blessings and pleasure; some of us are mothers and wives keeping our houses and homes running smoothly and even if you are single some of us lead very demanding and exciting lives as well. Here I am going to give you a few ways to Fengshui your exercise regimen. Whether you are looking to get fit and healthier or just change up your routine a little bit these are a few tips you can follow. With Summer quickly approaching these steps will guarantee you have a Healthy Hot Girl Summer.

  1. Ask yourself first what are some of your fitness and health goals and how do you need to go about reaching them?

  2. After assessing what are your fitness and health goals it is time to focus on those goals but start small and take baby steps. If your goal is to be fit and healthy overall an example of this is to start by making a few changes in your diet and food choices; instead of drinking artificial flavored drinks and eating cereal for breakfast that is flavored with a lot of sugar you could start by instead subst having a egg and spinach omelet that is full of protein and vitamins that the body needs and substituting your artificially flavored drink for a cup or glass of water. Sometimes when it feels like you are still hungry and you know you just ate; you are actually just dehydrated and may need some water. When it comes to exercising if you are a beginner or starting to exercise again after not exercising for a while; then set a goal to start exercising for at least 5-10 minutes then start working your way up each week until you are feeling confident with your exercise regimen and routine and find your groove and niche; even exercising 10 minutes a day is better than not exercising and being mostly sedentary. If you listen to your body it will always tell you what it needs and what it may be lacking. One of my favorite things to do is when I am out if I have taken the public transportation that I frequent in the city to run errands before going to my job;If I can and am not pressed for time I get my steps in by walking the 10 minutes to my job and later I may take the bike and walking trail on my way home. I like clearing my mind and having a few minutes to myself after being around and exposed to different behaviors, energies, and environments that are demanding, draining, and exhausting, and at times hostile and toxic.

  3. If you feel more motivated to exercise if you join a gym because you and your pockets will be held accountable each month then go ahead. If you are introverted and a self-motivator you can always if you can afford it and budget in buying your own exercise equipment to use at home or pay for a few private sessions with a personal trainer; if you have a few gal pals who are on a journey and quest like you to be and get fit and healthier than all of you can get together when all of your schedule permits and sync to do a group exercise or meal planning and meal prep days. It can and could be beneficial to start a exercise group chat online or by phone where each of you mark and share your gains and progress, setbacks and successes. Sometimes having a accountability partner or teammate who knows your goals and struggles can help motivate you and make you feel even more motivated and successful in your fit, health, and lifestyle change and journey.

  4. After you have started implementing these few small changes in your daily and weekly routine you are now starting to change certain behavior patterns that you have grown accustomed to these changes now should be second nature to you. If you are one like me who easily gets bored change up what is on your plate by trying new things and switch up your exercise routine and as always before starting any exercise regimen or lifestyle change consult your care team and doctor who may and should be able to give you even more insight and tips on being an even more energetic, healthier, and radiant you. Looking good is always about being and feeling good from the inside out so even if you are not seeing a physical progress yet; how are you feeling? Do You Want To Spring Ahead ?

Good Morning Fengshuiers and Happy April ! Daylight Saving Time and Spring both started in March and the weather is getting warmer and more nice outside so April is a good time to refresh and revamp your inside and outside areas. Since forever Spring Cleaning has been a thing and here I am going to leave you with a few of my Fengshui Spring Cleaning an Organizing Tips for the busy Fengshuier that due to all of life’s busy and hectic demands and schedules sometimes the place we call home may fall somewhere last on the list.

  1. Always remember to bite more than you can chew(start small) and always factor in activities, career and work schedule, family and me self-care leisure time before starting any project in or outside the home. If you are a procrastinator like a few of us can be; start only one big, medium, or small project instead of a bunch of projects you know you cannot complete and finish. Even if you are already a project completer procrastinator and have started a few projects begin on 1 of the smaller projects and work your way up out of the project mania and use this Fengshui Tip for future reference.

  2. If you are more than a family or household of 1 include your adult and minor children, Commitment Partner or Spouse, and or Roommates in helping with the household chores and any extra cleaning and organizing you would like to do. I know this tip may be hard for us Type A Fengshuier personalities, but these are and can be bonding and teachable memories and moments that money cannot buy + everyone will feel the excitement and joy of contributing to making the space they occupy better, clean, and comfortable.

  3. If you are a nature and outside lover like I am make sure to clean and organize your outside oasis this spring. You can decorate or redecorate it however you like and if you are feeling good and have a green thumb plant and start a garden or hang up you some new patio lights. Happy Fengshui Spring Cleaning.

Black Excellence and Woman’s History

The first Negro History Week was established February 1926 by Carter G. Woodson who was the second African American and Black person behind W.E. Dubois to earn a PHD which was completed at Harvard a University. Carter G. Woodson is also given the title and known as the “ Father Of Black History”. In February 1970 The Black Educators and The Black United Students at Kent State University expanded Negro History Week to include a whole month and since 1976 every US president has claimed and designated February as Black History Month. At the beginning of March it will be Women’s History Month and during this time we like to spotlight all the contributions that women have made in American History. For both Black History Month and Women’s History Month I would like to honor and put the spotlight on Mary Beatrice Davidson Kenner. Although the name may not sound familiar maybe some of Mrs. Mary’s work is; Mary Kenner was a inventor May 1912 and still holds the record for the greatest number of patents awarded to a black woman by the U.S. government. One of the best creations that Mrs. Kenner invented was the Sanitary Belt/ Sanitary Napkin that was worn by women during their menstrual cycle. Although Mary came up with this invention in the 1920’s she could not afford the patent so she worked on improving her product and in 1957 Sonn-Nap-Pack Company got word of Mary’s invention and contacted her about marketing her product, but once they found out that Mary was African American/Black they declined. Although Mary did not formally receive recognition for her work; her contributions and innovations help pave the way for creativity and innovations in future generations. How To Fengshui Your Football Season And How To Fengshui Your Valentine's Day.

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Hello To All Of My The Fengshui Brand Fengshuiers; I hope the month of February 2024 has been amazing for you all this far. I am and have been busy like always with my career and home life, but I am taking the time out of my busy schedule to share one of my easy and favorite Guacamole Dip recipes that you can make and serve on Super Bowl 58 Sunday to all of your favorite girls, guys, and tailgaters regardless if they are Team Kansas City Chiefs or Team San Francisco 49ers. This dip is sure to be a hit and did I also mention it is easy as 123 to make? This recipe can also be used as a appetizer dip on Valentines day whether you are spending it alone, your babies and children, with your best and closest friends and gal pals, or with that special someone in your life at home. Although Valentines Day allegedly and supposedly is about and started because of a martyr priest named Saint Valentine who did not want to listen or obey the law that Emperor Claudius The Second passed and set forbidding and outlawing marriage for young men so Valentine would carry out and perform marriages in secret for young lovers ultimately leading to his death and demise( How chivalrous, heroic, and romantic). The Valentines Day that we have come to celebrate and know now is all about expressing and showing love to all those that we care about, love, and respect. Every year since forever I have chose to honor the young man and male who changed my outlook and perspective on care , commitment ,life, and love and caught my eye and intrigued my brain and respected my genuine, honest, innocent, and naïve, but knowledgeable perspective and personality as a young 23 year old by acknowledging and doing one good deed around this time for another human being usually a male who is about his business, easy, energetic, and positive in every area of his life. I enjoy the whole day regardless if I have to work and send Galantines and Valentines to all those I care about and love currently. To all of My Fengshuiers I would like to say Happy Valentines Day to you all and I hope you get to spend it either being loved on by the one you love and loving on the one you love or just plain and simple loving on yourself because self-care and self-love is ALWAYS the best love. Guacamole Dip

2 -4 Avocados pit removed and mashed.

1/2 Cup Tomato Diced Small.

Juice of 2 Lemons or 2 Limes.

1/4 Onion Diced Small.

2 Tablespoons Cilantro Chopped.

Pepper and Salt to taste.

Enjoy with your favorite baguette, chips, and or

crackers.*If you want to add even more flavor to your

Guacamole Dip add bacon bits and or your favorite hot or mild

pepper.

How To Fengshui Your Life.

I have always believed in being authentic, free, a free spirit, and living and walking in my authenticity and truth even as a little and young child. Sometimes being your authentic genuine pure self comes with a lot of backlash from other human beings who feel threatened by your confident, energetic, and genuine demeanor because they have not yet mastered how to be balance the demands of pretending to be someone they are not and have never wished to be, but got pulled into it for whatever reason, but in all honesty that is not and should not be made to be my or your issue or problem should it Fenghuiers ? Here I am going to give My Fengshuiers a few quick pointers and steps on how to fengshui your life; I usually do this beginning at the end of each year so that my New Year is started of anew, bright, clean, fresh, and positive and free of baggage, clutter, distraction, and heaviness.

  1. One of the Fengshui mottos and tips that I live and swear by is cleaning and organizing and fengshuing my area and living space. It does not matter if you live in a 500 square feet apartment/tiny home, studio, house, or R.V.; Fengshuiers these tips are good for all living accommodations and living situations, and living situation-ships. Lol .First I take assessment of the clothes and shoes that I have in my closet, dressers, and storage area and decide if anything needs to be donated, given or thrown away. Growing up it was always more than enough of everything in my household and my Grandma and her group of close friends were always buying and giving each other things whether they needed it or not so at a young age I became what is now called a minimalist and I only buy or take things from other people in my circle that I have a need for because I have always despised and hated excess and I have a rule that if I buy anything clothing wise that I can at least make 3-5 outfits out of it.

  2. After I have cleaned. organized, and fengshuid my closet and wardrobe it is now time to assess and look at where I lay my head; Do I need a new blinds, new curtains, a new mattress and or new pillows ? Does my room need to brightened up or toned down? I usually decorate my bedroom based on my mood and personality which has always been bright, energetic, and fun so I tend to go on what I am feeling in the mood and moment and build around that. If you are on a budget like most of us are Fengshuiers and still would like to change things up a bit; check out please Goodwill and thrift stores, estate, garage and yard sales where sometimes you can find different and unique pieces that are no longer of use to the owner donating or selling the items. Changing your bedding, blanket, comforter, duvet, pillows and pillow cases, and sheets is a quick way to change the energy and feel of your room without having to break the bank; Also if you want you can also fengshui and make changes to your bathroom and other common areas of your home; The sky is the limit so let your creative juices, personality, and positive energy take over.

  3. One of the last and most important steps I am going to give you Fengshuiers is to assess and look at the human beings in your circle; this includes your closest associates and friends, co-workers, family members, and romantic interest and partners and get rid of anyone who has or is a negative influence in your life or toxic. Sometimes as human beings it is in our nature to want to fix and try to hold onto people and relationships that are no longer suited for us. I know that it is hard to let go of someone who has been a main fixture in your life because by nature although the relationship dynamic may be hurting us it is also comforting to have someone and something that is familiar. I personally like to look at how has and is this human being bringing me down, encouraging me and lifting me up, or has this individual become a roadblock and heavy weight in my life.

    Throughout my life dealing with anyone because I am guarded and so protective of myself due to my experiences and upbringing I had to learn how do I find balance and engage with certain people that I want in my life, but may not necessarily be very good and healthy for it? I had to learn to put certain human beings and people in compartments of my life or decide to walk away forever. There are some human beings who will hurt you over and over until you are forced to cut all ties with them and there are some human beings who will encourage and support you just as much as you do them. When dealing with familiar and work related relationships I suggest doing the same. It is always a good thing to have boundaries in place and deal breakers that if not upheld you don’t feel guilty about cutting ties with the person who does not respect your boundaries and or respect you. If you are constantly dealing with catty and narcissitic, gaslighting, petty, and sabotaging behavior in individuals that you are employed with and you are not looking to change your place of employment anytime soon you should start limiting as much personal time you spend with that person and unless it pertains to the job and your job duties; limit your personal time with and stop discussing your personal life with theses energy vampire and leach like individuals and stop accepting request to go out and hang after or before work. Also don’t let anyone dump and project on you even if it is your Boss.

    When it comes to biological family, best and close friends, and a romantic partner sometimes it is even harder to cut ties with someone you have such close and familiar ties and such a strong bond with, but if the bond and connection is bringing you down it is best to see if it can be fixed and repaired, but if not it is time to let go. I suggest if you are feeling a certain kind of way about anything with the person your are bonded and connected deeply with it is time to communicate in a healthy manner what you are and have been feeling and what can be done if anything to repair the relationship and if the other party involved is willing to fix and repair any damage that has been done then give them give them and yourself a time limit and the space to notice a change and difference. If you are content and satisfied with how things are going after bringing the behavior, issues, and problems to light then continue with the relationship. If not then it is best to move on. If you are not completely 100% comfortable with being done with this relationship then you can always suggest going to counseling or just limiting your time with the person who is not meeting and respecting your needs to be in plutonic and romantic relationship with you. If you are considering ending a romantic relationship where there are children involved it is best to discuss how co-parenting will work that is geared to the best interest of the children while you all dissolve your relationship. Letting go and saying good bye is never easy no matter how many times you do it, but sometimes you have to put your best interest and needs ahead of everyone else and their emotions, feelings, and needs especially when you are not getting what you need to be in and create a happy and stable relation and partnership.;Goodbyes also don’t mean goodbye forever if later on down the line behavior and behavior patterns change and the person in the relationship with you has recognized the error of their ways.

    Sometimes the other human being or human beings in your bed, associate and friends, and family circle are not the one’s who has or have changed but it is you and you may now feel that you have outgrown the environment and relationship(‘s) with those who you are and have been the closest to and that is alright and okay too. As Human Beings we are supposed to change and grow and change and growth does not always come with a set date and or time, but as long as each of us continue to be boundary and respecting of each other, ourselves, and our different and unique growth, needs and wants, and space(‘s) everything will work itself out. Fengshuiers never be guilt tripped and or feel guilty about doing what is best for you and your course of life because you never want to look back and regret spending and wasting energy and time on commitments, environments and spaces, and people that kept you feeling held complacent, hostage, stagnant, and or unfulfilled. # Regret is Exhausting.

  4. Now it is time to Fengshui yourself with a whole new look and vibe. Is it a new car you have been wanting to buy or maybe you have been wanting to start putting a little more care and focus on how you dress and look, but most importantly feel, or is it a new hair color and hair do/style you have been wanting to try?; If so now is the time to get up and try those things and even if you don’t like it or it isn’t for you and you don’t choose to stick with it; how will you ever know if you don’t at least try it?

  5. After this is all done Fengshuiers treat yourself to a nice bath and soak with your favorite bath oils, body washes, scents, and soaps and slip into your favorite lingerie and nightgown or pajamas and relax and rest easy knowing that you are on your way to having the life and space that you always have dreamed of full of peace and zen.

I Have A Dream.

In my maternal Grandma Callie’s home on the wall right above the couch was a wall designated for employee of the month and year plaques, family pictures of loved ones, inspirational quotes and mantras in frames, and a picture of Dr. Martin Luther King from his I Have A Dream Speech. That picture was there from the time my memories formed at the age of 3 and was there still when I graduated High School and even there many years after that. I remember my Grandmother telling me and my siblings and cousins the stories about a time when little brown boys like my Grandmas Sons could not wear shorts and brown hued females and women could not wear pants. Through all the adversity, prejudices, and racism my Grandma experienced and witnessed it never changed her into a cold individual. My Grandma was a brilliant and smart and nurturing human being in a no non-sense kind of way who did not suffer any fool who dared to cross her and a woman I am honored and proud to be like in more than a few ways than 1. Every year in my small community and town growing up there was a parade that sometimes I got to participate in and other times I just watched and still to this day this tradition carries on. I would like to personally thank the King Family who shared their Associate, Confidant, and Friend, Brother, Cousin, Dad and Husband, Grandson and Son with us while Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. advocated and fought for equality for all our Ancestors, Future and Present Generations of Color and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for always put himself on the front line for the cause of my and our communities and making sure his and our voices were not only heard, but also honored, respected and valued. Dr. Martin Luther King did all of this with character, consciousness, dignity, humbleness, humility, integrity, respect for himself and others, and a clear, loud, and powerful voice that reached and resonated with the human beings Dr. King was advocating for and the ones who was advocating against Dr. King and the People Of Color mission and plight for equality and space in a community and world our Ancestors built and grew, molded, and forever shaped. Although Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has a day designated every year since for his tireless effort; I have always found a way to honor my Ancestors and Dr. King each and every day by being authentic, genuine, and kind, nurturing, and positive to my Brotha’s and Sista’s when I encounter them, but also showing up each and everyday for myself and being a mirror and reflection of the Black Excellence I have experience and saw growing up, but also was raised to exhibit and be. I Thank You Dr. Martin Luther King for your contribution and legacy to the my Ancestors, myself and my future bloodline and the world that has never been easy on us. As a human being and person of color it is always my and your job to always be the most authentic, but also the best version of ourselves.
