A Refresher
When I think of the month of January; I always think of a month of and to rebirth, recharge, refresh, and relax. In honor of the 1st month of the New Year and my Birth Month I will be sharing a recipe for a healthy and refreshing drink that will not only make you feel good in the inside, but will help you glow on the outside as well. Although this is a recipe that my Maternal Grandma Callie used to make to share with her circle of friends when they got together once or twice a month to catch up and share their trials and triumphs and socialize; feel free to revamp it however you choose and to what best suits your taste and taste bud palettes.
Amazing Aqua Refresher(Serves 1 Pitcher).*
What you will need:
1. A Pitcher
2.1 Cucumber and 1 Lemon Washed.
3. Distilled or Purified Water( I prefer Purified, but if all you have on hand is Tap Water and you are alright with it then go for it.
Directions:
1. Fill a pitcher with cold Purified Water.
2.Thinly slice as much Cucumber as you would like; I usually only use 1/2.
3.Thinly slice as much lemon as you like; keeping in mind that lemons are bitter naturally; I usually use about 1/2 as well.
4. Add Cucumbers and Lemons to your pitcher and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes to combine, chill, and mix together.
5. Drink and Share.
* You can also add and or substitute your favorite fruits to your refresher with a sprig of mint if you want to change and spruce things up a bit if you are like me and like things more on the sweet side. Let Your Aqua Refresher cater to your personality and taste pallet.*
